SURFING & CATAMARAN IN WAIKIKI!

Let's go surfing!

But we need to learn how to surf first...

Julie (Switzerland) and Tiina (Finland) are almost ready...

They just need to learn to stand up on the board

Vera walks her longboard down the beach to the ocean...

We all enjoyed the view of Diamond Head while surfing :)

And then we went on a catamaran tour and saw a turtle, a dolphin and a beautiful view of the coast

We also hung out on the beach...Morten loved having the company of all these ladies

Fun day in the sun with friends

We play volleyball every time we go to the beach

More surfers learning how to hang loose

Paddling out is half the work...

The other half is paddling in... Catching waves is so much fun and not too hard!

After a long day at the beach we had a big pizza dinner in Waikiki

The hawaiian pizza in Hawaii was the Best!

This morning we were awoken by the sound of our Swedish roommate, screaming at us in broken Danish.  Then we went down to breakfast and were extremely impressed with the view and the abundance of food, but were confused by the awkward presence of steamed rice and steak in the breakfast buffet.  The next thingw e knew, we found ourselves crusing down the street and we ended up on a beautiful beach.  We split up into two groups; one group surfed first and the other went on a catamaran (a really cool two legged boat). Of course we are members of the awesome blue group, so we got to surf first.  We started by getting super tight surf shirts and learning surfing techniques on the beach.  Then we paddled out like true surfers, throwing hang loose sings in the air.  We caught some sweet waves and tried to avoid the rocks at all cost.

Next we went on the catamaran.  We were surprised at how much salt water we got to taste because of the huge waves that crashed into the boat.  We also saw a dolphin and a sea turtle that resembed Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

After resting, relaxing and soothing our slightly sunburnt skin, we made our way to the Round Table pizza restaurant where the breadsticks were incredible. We then walked around Waikiki, experiencing the vibrant city and night.  Now, for the first time in a long time, we are so exhausted we want to go to bed before 10pm.
